Pity the poor soul Zack Ryder, who suffered yet another ignominy during Raw SuperShow this past Monday when he was chokeslammed through the stage by Kane during a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

In the past month alone, Long Island Iced-Z has been pummeled by Kane through a loading pallet and lost his United States Championship to Jack Swagger under questionable pretenses. Ryder was not medically cleared to compete, but an oversight by Executive VP of Talent Relations and Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis allowed the match to proceed. This past Monday, still reeling from injuries sustained at the hands of The All-American American, Ryder faced his tormentor head-on and was driven through the stage for his troubles.

So where does the buck stop now? In a seemingly endless cycle of brutality leveled against the beloved, self-proclaimed Internet Champion, who’s to blame for the predicament?

This week on Raw Eve was once again shown backstage with Ryder and Foley. Mick tries telling Ryder that even though Kane is a big red monster that there is more to him than meets the eye. Eve shows her concern by telling Zack he should NOT face Kane tonight whether he has been cleared to wrestle by the officials or not. Cena comes into the picture and tries to reason with Ryder who is refusing to back down. No matter what Cena says Ryder decides against not meeting Kane in the ring and walks off for his match.

Zack Ryder vs Kane
The match starts off and Ryder quickly uses all his pent up anger to gain the upper hand on Kane. However just when we think he may finally have one over on the big red monster, Kane fights back which leads to Eve coming out to ringside worried about the safety of Ryder. Kane once again loses his composure against Ryder and is out to hurt him. Both guys end up at the top of the ramp. With nowhere to go and beaten down Ryder is given a huge chokeslam to the floor, lying motionless Eve watches on distraught. Kane see’s Eve looking down at Ryder and suddenly begins to target her, backing her down the ramp back towards the ring. Cena comes out and makes the save, as Kane runs away. They both follow the stretcher which Ryder has been put on to the back towards and ambulance. Eve snaps at Cena saying all of this is his fault. The scene ends as Eve steps into the ambulance with Ryder as he is taken to a nearby medical facility.
